HARVEST
Manual selection of grapes lately harvested between from October, the 20th and the 30th, in a 35 old vineyards in Ancarano and Controguerra with optimal exposure and low yeld. The terroir gives the grapes the best thermal excursions that, together with organic techniques of cultivation and aging, enhances balsamic sensations, chocolate and coffee beans scents together with typical of aged bitterness Montepulciano grapes.
WINE MAKING
The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks thermo-conditioned and after the malolactic fermentation it ages in old french barriques for 12 months and then in bottle for at least 6 months.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Deep red with grenade shades
Nose: Flowery, fruity and spicy
Flavour by Mouth: Round, full bodied and complex with basamic and spicy notes. Pretty made for complex meat dishes like roasted beef and tagliata, cured meat and rich first courses.
